"Use your reading of Homer, the index from Powell, as well as your own research (I urge you to consult the Oxford Classical Dictionary in our library) to find out which gods were the most important or honored in the city you have been assigned. (If you have been assigned a mythical city—like Aiaia or Phaeacia, you will need to use your imaginations and base it on your readings of Homer alone)!" So I was thinking that because Circe is a witch she could possibly worship Hecate who is associated with magic. What do you guys think?
It's possible but she was herself a goddess right? So would she worship another god? From what I remember she was possibly the daughter of the Titan Helios....maybe... I say we start with the basics... lets figure out a group leader or someone to help keep us on task and we all need to find the section in the book with her island in it so that we have some sort of description to start with. That way we can figure out what parts each person is doing.
Takera is right. I've been looking up some stuff on Circe's Island, and Circe is a witch and daughter of Helios. Basically, the description of Circe's Island that I've found so far is that the island is covered in forest with Circe's Palace surrounded by the forest. I believe there is a description of the dining room that Circe tries to drug Odysseus in, but I haven't found anything more than that. There may be more than that since Odysseus and his men stayed on the island for 1 year. I just may not have gotten far enough.
hey guys The professor put out an email wanting the information for the group leader. I already provided him with the link for the blog so that he can see the discussion. Who do we want as group leader? If no one volunteers or cares then I can do it

So who is in charge of what buildings? I think we have to do a Megaron, a temple, and a Heroon.
